Most of you know the first map pack being released for FarCry. Now the "Unofficial Far Cry Custom Map Pack 2" has been released in a new version. Around 21 maps (15 Assault, 6 FFA/TDM) are included and as a little bonus the Tacto v1.5 mod has been added to that pack, too. The maps have been chosen, edited and tested by Destroyer, Led_Zep and Slugworth, well known names in the community. A complete list of the maps included can be found below.

Bonus MOD
As a bonus, this map pack includes the most recent version of the Tacto mod. After you complete the installation of this map pack, you will be given the option to install the Tacto mod for Far Cry.

The Pack has a size of 160MB and needs 300MB on your harddrive. At the end of the installation you get asked whether to install the Tacto mod or not. The mod is playable with all current Assault maps. The map pack will be played on most of the ubi server that should be updated within this week.

Die meisten von euch können sich noch an das erste Map Pack für FarCry erinnern. Jetzt wurde das "Unofficial Far Cry Custom Map Pack 2" in einer neuen Version veröffentlicht. Als Bonus liegt die Tacto MOD für FarCry dem Packet bei. Nach der Installation des Map-Packs, werdet ihr gefragt ob ihr die besagte MOD installieren wollt.

Das Pack ist knapp 160MB groß und benötigt insgesamt 300MB auf eurer Festplatte. Am Ende der Installation werdet ihr gefragt ob ihr die Tacto-Mod zusätzlich installieren wollt, dies bleibt natürlich euch überlassen. Spielen könnt ihr diese Mod mit allen gängigen Assault-Karten. Das Map Pack wird auf den meisten Ubisoft Server gespielt, die in dieser Woche noch geupdated werden sollen.

After the first release of the "Tacto MOD" about 2 months ago finally the new version 1.5 can be downloaded. The Subterfuge-Software Team fixed a few bugs, optimized the balancing and added a PDF-Manual as well as direct ingame help. A complete changelog can be found here:

• problem solved when gold when gold falls in a crack and can not be picked up anymore
• Assassin's sword has been made heavier
• Rockets shoot faster
• Version detection included which tells you if you are running an older version

The new download has a size of 13MB and is available as AutoInstaller and as a Zip-Version. You can play the mod on any assault map you want. But if you still want to play the original Tacto-maps you can find some of them in the links mentioned below.

Surprisingly the leader of the "HARD MOD" released a VIP-Movie of the HARD_mountain map and a whole bunch of very nice screenshots of the HARD_zone map. Besides scenes of the new station model with its gondola the video shows the winter fennek in action and excellent designed landscapes. On the screenshots you can see great designed new buildings creating a kind of destroyed city, wide landscapes and forsaken trainstations.
