eXcaliTrone v2.1 für Clients verfügbar

Das beliebte Far Cry Multiplayer Tool "eXcaliTrone" bekam ein Client-Seitiges Update spendiert und ist ab sofort in Version 2.1 verfügbar. Neben einem neuen und komfortableren Launcher wurden auch kleinere Bugs behoben und die allgemeine Kompatibilität zu Windows 2000 erweitert. Speziellen Dank geht dabei an Sebastix, der den neuen Launcher gescripted hat. Auch ist eine Favourite Server List vorhanden, die alle aktuellen XT Server anzeigt. Um das 150KB große Update korrekt zu installieren lest bitte die mitgelieferte Readme. Es kann aber auch die 533KB große Vollversion 2.1 installiert werden.

Major upgrade: Takaro's CryImporter v1.2 released

A very nice major upgrade happened to "Takaro's CryImporter" which now has been released in version 1.2. Created by Takaro he did a lot of bugfixing which makes the importer a lot more useful. From now on only 3D Studio Max 7 or higher are supported due to a new extension tool that was required for the bug fixing which needs version 7 minimum. Further below you can find a complete change log of the 200KB sized installer. Constructive criticism and feedback are welcome as usual!

Change log:
  • Bone mesh chunks are now handled properly, with separate physics skeleton being created and correct bone materials being applied to primary skeleton
  • Bone physics parameters (degrees of freedom, angle limits, etc.) are now applied to separate physics skeleton
  • Changed handling of facial animations, so that each duplicate character mesh now only has the head visible, and they are now lined up next to each other similar to the merc_scout.max file in the SDK
  • Fixed a few material parameters (Specular Level, Glossiness, Self-Illumination) so that they get applied properly now
  • Fixed a problem with normal maps being imported and assigned as detail maps, resulting in incorrect models being exported out
  • Improved addition of materials to material editor so now standard materials that don't use Crytek Shader but have names like "arm/mat_arm" won't get overwritten
  • Now user defined properties for objects in node chunks and bone anim chunks get added to the objects in the scene
  • Scene props are now imported correctly and added to the scene

"Takaro's CryImporter" bekam ein großes Update spendiert und ist ab sofort in version 1.2 verfügbar. Entwickelt von Takaro, wurden viele Bugs behoben, was den Importer natürlich noch nützlicher macht. Allerdings werden nur noch 3D Studio Max 7 und neuere Versionen unterstützt. Dies war ein notwendiger Schritt, da ein neues Extension Tool zum Bug fixen eingebunden wurde, welches mindestens Version 7 benötigt. Weiter unten findet ihr wie immer das komplette Change Log der 200KB großen Installations-Datei. Konstruktive Kritiv so wie Feedback sind jederzeit willkommen!

Torque86's Treepack v1.0 released

In addition to the house models pack released yesterday, Torque86 created a nice "Treepack v1.0". It includes various rocky mountain trees and shrubs and thus can be used for non-tropical design ideas. The zip file is 5MB in size and consists of the .cgf files and the respective textures. If you use these vegetation please do not forget to mention the developer in your readme file :)

Torque86's Treepack v1.0 veröffentlicht

Als Ergänzung zu dem gestrig Veröffentlichtem House Models Pack hat Torque86 ein sehr schönes "Treepack v1.0" erstellt. Es beinhaltet diverse Bäume und Büsche die vorwiegend in Bergregionen zu finden sind. Die Zip-Datei ist 5MB groß und besteht aus den .cgf-Dateien und den zugehörigen Texturen. Wenn ihr diese Vegetation benutzen wollt, vergesst bitte nicht den Ersteller in eurer Readme-Datei zu erwähnen :)
