Today we want to present you new screenshots and a video of a Singleplayer mod called "StarCry". On the rendered images you can see the Terran boat Hydra , the Halcyan blades of the hero you will play and the jet fighters Ranger and Shadow. For those who don't know anything about the mod yet, here a little summary:

"In StarCry you are an elite unit of the Halcyan army based in the Faln 12 solar system. You have the mission to visit the planet Gadoh’n to get back the Eye of Halcyia, an artefact put in a dangerous situation by the Terrans, seeking for resources they can exploit. To keep the existence of the Halcyans secret, you are alone on this tropical planet. But when you arrive on the planet, Terran defences chase you… The StarCry adventure begins! Besides 4 hours of immersive gameplay and constant action you will come across with 3 races (Halcyan, Terran and Skarith), weapons of different technologies, over 6 drivable vehicles and a lot more."



As a little special the team released a cool ingame movie of the Terran boat Hyrda. For now only an official Forum is available, the homepage is under construction.

Auf den gerenderten Bildern könnt ihr das Terran Boot Hydra, die Halcyan Blades des Helden den ihr spielen werdet und die Kampfjäger Ranger und Shadow begutachten. Für diejenigen unter euch, die noch nichts über die Mod wissen gibt es hier eine kleine Zusammenfassung:

Als kleines Special hat das Team ein cooles Ingame Movie des Terran Boot Hydra gemacht. Bisher ist leider nur ein offizielles Forum verfügbar, die Homepage befindet sich aber schon in Arbeit.

Quite recently an update of the unofficial FarCry Custom Map Pack (former known as unofficial UbiSoft Map Pack) has ben released. Besides a lot of revised maps they also fixed slight problems with the Installer and put in 4 brand new maps. The pack now can be played on the official UbiSoft server and so is definately worth a download. If you already got the first version of it, you just need to download the update with 66MB. Otherwise it is recommended to get the whole 155MB sized file. A whole changelog and some infos about the maps can be found, by clicking on the "Read more..." Link.

Vor kurzem erst wurde ein Update des unoffiziellen FarCry Custom Map Packs (früher bekannt als unoffizielles UbiSoft Mappack) veröffentlicht. Neben vielen überarbeiteten Maps wurden zudem auch kleinere Problem des Installers behoben und zusätzlich noch 4 brandneue Maps hinzugefügt. Das Pack kann ab sofort auf den offiziellen UbiSoft Server gespielt werden und ist somit definitiv einen Download Wert. Falls ihr schon die erste Version besitzt, benötigt ihr nur noch das 66MB große Update. Andernfalls ist der Download der ganzen 155MB großen Datei zu empfehlen. The Polishing Weevils are currently working on a new mod called "Obisidan Edge". It is a fast conversion Multiplayer modification with the goal to bring more tactical deepness, teamwork and realism into the Farcry gameplay. To achieve this they have a Ranger in their squad who is advising them with technical stuff and most of the team members are active FarCry players in several clans. Besides very nice camouflage textured models and the standard gamemodes Assault, FFA and TDM, the mod will contain a lot of other interesting and promising features... "Click on the Read more...
