Offizielle Dedicated Server Dokumentation

Greetings Community!

We are pleased to tell you that the “Official Dedicated Server Documentation” is available now and can be downloaded from here or Crytek's modding portal Crymod.com. Feel free to share it with everyone in the community who wants to set up an own server.

The documentation includes a step-by-step instruction how to correctly set up a dedicated server including features like:

  • Server Instances
  • Level Rotation
  • Remote Control
  • Punkbuster
  • DX10 Server
  • And more…

Additionally it includes a whole server command list of all important console variables that are needed for server administration.

Next to the documentation itself we would like to provide you with some additional files such as .cfg files, Punkbuster files, a startup batch and a standard level rotation. Basically everything that comes in handy when setting up a dedicated server for Crysis.

UPDATE (22.11.2007 @ 20:00 Uhr): We have recently updated the “Official Dedicated Server Documentation” for Crysis which is available for download now. As usual you can get it from our modding portal Crymod.com. Next to an updated documentation with some new categories the included files have been adjusted as well.

Multiplayer “Server Authentication Failed” Issues

To let you know, we have been able to fix a problem that prevented many people from playing online. It was related to an issue with the CD-Key master server. We keep on tracking down the remaining bugs and will keep you up-to-date on this topic!

Thanks for your patience,

-Crysis Dev Team

Greetings Community!

Now that Crysis is released, we are going to shift the development team’s focus on gathering your feedback. Indeed, you, the gamers, are going to tell us what you think of the game and what can be improved in future patches. Furthermore with Crysis being released, the community playing both Singleplayer and Multiplayer and having the mod community more than active already, there is a need for additional help.

Thus we would like to introduce you to a new community manager who has been appointed to support myself in managing the community activities, being a direct contact person for the community and helping out in gathering/providing feedback on various topics.

Please welcome Sven “c4Te” Metzger in the Crysis community management team! His experience both as a Crysis QA tester and a high profile FPS gamer will prove more than useful for this duty.

Regards,

-Alex

Crysis: NVidia 8600M vs. 8800M GTX

Greetings Community!

We just would like to let you know that we are aware of the currently occurring issues regarding playing Crysis Multiplayer online. We are already in touch with Gamespy, EA and the world-wide server provider to resolve the problems. This topic has the highest priority for us now and we hope to come up with a solution as quickly as possible.

What we figured out so far already is that when you uninstall the MP Beta/SP Demo after you have installed the full version of Crysis your CD-Key might get removed accidentally. If this is the case please have a look at the workaround we provide further below. There is no guarantee that these work, but they have been helpful to many out there already.
