Chris Roberts could be forgiven for taking early retirement. Creating videogames since his late teens and putting the finishing touches to the legendary Wing Commander by the time he was just 22, the California-born pioneer had led gaming’s fledgling generation to infinity and beyond when most people his age were taking their first tentative steps into the real world.
In the years that followed, Roberts oversaw the continuing evolution of the Wing Commander series, added critical hits like Freelancer to his portfolio, and even took his place amid the Hollywood Hills to produce a run of big budget films.
This session covers the visually acclaimed Crysis 3 videogame, powered by the CryENGINE 3, both from a technology and art perspective. Warface ging zuerst in Russland im April 2012 Online und wurde als "Spiel des Jahres" auf der russischen Games Developer Conference gekürt.
Das in Moskau beheimatete Entwicklerstudio "Panzar Studios" nutzt die CryENGINE 3 für ihr MOBA Namens "Panzar". Die im April in Europa gestartete Open-Beta, hat in ihrem Heimatland Russland bereits knapp 1 Millionen Anmeldungen.
In "Panzar" treffen zwei Teams mit 10 Spielern in einem klassischem MOBA Szenario wie Belagerung, Domination und King of the hill aufeinander. Es gibt fünf unterschiedliche Szenarien und 11 auf den jeweiligen Szenarien basierenden Karten (Maps).
Viacheslav Dubikovskiy, der Executive-Producer des Spiels sagt, dass Spieler immer wieder zurück zu "Panzar" kommen, auch wenn sie zwischenzeitlich andere MOBA Spiele spielen.

Operated across the country by leading online publisher NEXON Co. Ltd., Warface has proven a hit with South Korean players during its Closed Beta phase, and was named Best FPS at the 2012 G-Star expo by popular Korean gaming site, Inven.

The news that Warface is entering its Open Beta phase in South Korea comes hot on the heels of the announcement that the game attracted nine million users during its first year online in Russia.
